BSA Policy RE: Membership Standards Policy Change

, I asked Stan Murrow to give notice of two information meetings designed to give BSA volunteers and parents an opportunity to voice their opinions on the potential membership standards policy change. The first date was on Monday, March 18
th
. Please delete this date. We must change the March 18
th
date to Tuesday, March 26
th
. I apologize for the inconvenience my mistake has made.
Stan, Adele and I collectively set the dates at March 18 and March 28. We were attempting to set the meeting as early as possible so as to learn your thoughts about National changing its policy to allow individuals of homosexual lifestyles to become BSA members. We missed that fact that a BSA national meeting was set for March 19 to meet in Ft. Worth for an orientation. This orientation is to tell us how the process will be handled, the history on this, the reason for the policy vote and generally how to conduct our meetings. I had already asked Stan to set March 18th as our first meeting date. Today we must reschedule the Monday, March 18th meeting for Tuesday, March 26. We will retain the Thursday, March 28th date. We have to complete our process and turn in our paperwork to National by April 5th.
The meetings are identical. There is no need to attend both.
