BALOO or Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation

This program is designed for any Cub Scout Leaders or parents who want to plan and carry out entry-level outdoor experiences for the pack that are fun, based on the purposes of Cub Scouting and successful in whetting the appetite of the Cub Scouts, their parents, and the leaders to want more of the outdoors. It is not intended as an overnight experience, but rather a preparation of the Cub Scout leader interested in learning about overnight camping activities.

This training is mandatory for a Pack or Den to conduct any type of camping outside of the Council sponsored camping programs.

BALOO can be a one- or two-day training and is usually conducted at Camp Perkins on a weekend. Fees vary depending on lunch provisions.

Please check the council calendar for upcoming dates.
