 A gift from Mr. & Mrs. J. J. Perkins, this Northwest Texas Council property is about 60 acres of camping paradise.
Located between Sheppard Air Force Base and Burkburnett, the camp is close enough to towns to be convenient and remote enough to offer a fun camping experience. Many council sponsored activities take place at Camp Perkins and packs, troops and crews are welcome to use the camp for their own day and overnight events. Charter partners with the Northwest Texas Council are also welcome to utilize the camp.
Camp Ranger Steve Sells works hard to keep the camp mowed and all the facilities in good shape. It is each individual's choice whether to believe the sign that says "Feed the Ranger" however some fees are necessary to help maintain the camp and are stated below.

Any persons or groups wishing to use Camp Perkins facilities or equipment must complete the appropriate Camp Reservation Form and submit it along with any fees to the Scout Office for approval. Fees and requirements are listed on the Reservation form depending on the group requesting Camp usage. Two-week notice prior to event is highly recommended!!

Reservation form and required deposit must be submitted & received by the Northwest Texas Council at least 2 weeks prior to the requested date. PHONE CALLS ARE NOT RESERVATIONS.
The fees and regulations listed in the Camp Reservation forms can be changed at any time per the NWTC Camping Committee.
The Northwest Texas Council also has camping equipment for rent.

 Directions:
Headed north on I-44, take East Road exit. Turn right and go east on East Road. Turn left onto FM 240 (Sheppard Rd) and go north, then right onto FM 1177 going east again. There will be signs. Turn left going north onto Perkins Road. It will dead-end into Camp Perkins on the right side of the road.
Headed south on 1-44, take, take Daniels Road exit. Turn left and go east on Daniels Road. Turn right onto FM 240 (Sheppard Rd) and go south, then left onto FM 1177 going east again. There will be signs. Turn left going north onto Perkins Road. It will dead-end into Camp Perkins on the right side of the road.
Headed north on Sheppard Rd (FM 240). Drive north past the Sheppard AFB main gate, hospital gate and Missle Road gate. Continue north and turn right onto FM 1177 going east again. There will be signs. Turn left going north onto Perkins Road. It will dead-end into Camp Perkins on the right side of the road.
Headed south from Burkburnett on Sheppard Rd (FM 240). Drive through Burkburnett. Continue south and then left onto FM 1177 going east again. There will be signs. Turn left going north onto Perkins Road. It will dead-end into Camp Perkins on the right side of the road.

JOIN THE CAMP STAFF
The Northwest Texas Council is building a reputation by providing Scouts with a quality camping
experience. Opportunities to serve Scouting by being a member of the Camp Staff are available to
qualified members of the Boy Scouts of America. The requirements are stiff; the job’s demanding; the
experience exhilarating!
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
A STAFF MEMBER MUST:
1. Be a registered member of the BSA
2. AGE—be at least 15 years of age, 1st Class Scout or Venture Crew Member
3. Exemplify the ideals of Scouting as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law
