2010 Fall Cub N Pal - October 15-17
Due to the inclement weather conditions and power outages at Camp, the Spring Cub N Pal was postponed until this October. All spring Cub N Pal registrations will automatically be transferred to the Fall Cub - N - Pal, October 15 - 17. PDF Information packet Online Registration Join hundreds of Tiger, Cubs, and Webelo Scouts for the annual Cub-N-Pal camping weekend at Camp Perkins near Burkburnett. Cub-N-Pal will be a fun filled weekend that includes overnight camping, campfire programs, and exciting outdoor events. In addition to Belt Loops activities for Council only BB Guns, and Archery. Scouts and parents will spend two nights and days at Camp Perkins!! 30% of the registration fees for in-council youth and Scouters has been paid through a grant from The Priddy Foundation, if paid by the early deadline. Pre-Registration fee by Friday, October 1st is $35.00 per youth/adult pair. $10.00 for each additional participating Scout, and $15 for each additional non-Scout (younger sibling or additional adult). No registrations will be taken after October 1st so staff can properly plan for activities, food, etc. . . This year during Cub N Pal, each youth and adult will be asked to bring a Mess Kit. A Mess Kit contains plates, bowl and cup; limited supplies are available at the Scout office and the camp trading post. They are available at the Scout office and a limited supply will be available at the Camp Trading post. There will be hot and soapy water to wash dishes in at the chow hall. WHAT IS IT? The Cub-N-Pal weekend is simply an overnight Cub Scouting activity designed for boys and an adult. They come to camp and share a tent, eat together, and do things they want to do together. A volunteer staff provides activities such as crafts, games, and evening activity. WHO IS IT FOR? All Cub Scout age boys (grade 1st - 5th) that are registered in the Boy Scouts of America to be eligible to attend. An adult, 21 years old or older must accompany each boy. WHERE IS IT? The campout will be held at CampPerkins, located off Texas 240 (Burkburnett Highway) and east on Farm Road 1177 just past River Creek Golf Course. Maps are available online at the NWTC Website at the Camp Perkins page WHEN IS IT? Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Please NO EARLY ARRIVALS. HOW MUCH IS THE COST? 30% of the registration fees for in-council youth and Scouters has been paid through a grant from The Priddy Foundation. In-Council Registration fee: $35.00 for Cub Scout and 1 adult partner. Additional Cub Scouts: add $10.00 each. Additional NON-SCOUT child or adult: add $15.00 for each. NO REGISTRATION WILL BE TAKEN AFTER Oct 1, 2010. The Camp Trading Post will be open to provide most of your Scouting needs! REGISTRATION Please register through your Pack. Please submit the registration form to your PACK Cub-N-Pal Coordinator. They will turn all forms in at one time accompanied with ONE check for the entire Pack. Any questions, please contact the Council Service Center at (940) 696-2735. THINGS TO BRING. Please bring a sack lunch for the first evening's meal, or, cook out as a Pack! Also bring tent, sleeping gear (foam cushion, ground covering or cot), toilet articles, towels, extra shoes, camp clothing (warm & cold weather), raincoat, Cub handbook, flashlight, insect repellant, hat, spending money, cup with handle, lawn chair, hammer, first aid kit, compass, and swimsuits (weather permitting). Please try to bring only one duffel bag or backpack per person. Some tents and flashlights are available to loan. Please call (940) 696-2735 at least a week in advance to reserve these items. A damage deposit will be required. Be sure to bring a POSITIVE SCOUT SPIRIT AND A DESIRE FOR FUN! THINGS NOT TO BRING. Firewood, firearms, radios, game-boy or any other video type games, and bad attitudes. Everyone is encouraged not to bring cell phones, an emergency phone will be provided if needed. Cell phones should only be carried by adults for emergency use only, if you MUST keep your phone with you. PROCEDURES Check-in is located at the Dining Hall. Report there for schedule, map, campsite assignment, and camp rules. Remember that Cub and Pal must participate together. ALL VEHICLES WILL BE PARKED IN THE DESIGNATED AREA - NOT IN THE CAMPSITES! This is per BSA policy, insurance purposes and the overall safety of the boys. Be prepared to carry your camping equipment from the parking area to your campsite. This could be up to 150 yards. Pack Minimally. Parking cars on the top of the hill will also reduce the wear and tear of the campgrounds. All persons riding in a vehicle must be wearing a safety belt; there will be NO riding in the back of pick-up trucks by anyone AT ANY TIME! TOUR PERMITS. If you are bringing more than your son(s) and yourself, you will need to bring with you a properly filled-out tour permit, which are available at the Service Center. |
