Day camp is an organized one- to five-day program for Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, and Webelos Scouts conducted by the district. Day camps are conducted during daylight or early evening hours. Day camps do not include any overnight activities.

RR Day Camp

This camp will run June 14-18 from 8 AM - 5 PM daily at Camp Perkins near Burkburnett. We will have evening campfires (provided there is no fire ban), crafts, BB Guns, Archery, Climbing Tower, Swimming, etc. For more information, please call Aaron Otto at (940) 696-2735.

30% of the registration fees for in-council youth and Scouters have been paid through a grant from The Priddy Foundation.

Camp fees Paid Before May 14, 2010 for Cub Scouts is $52.50 (Was $75.00), and Adults are $35.00.

Those of you that are considering attending the Day camp this year and are having difficulties transporting your youth to and from the camp, Please notify Aaron Otto at the Scout Office to discuss transportation options.

GB South Day Camp

Two fun filled days around the south end of the Greenbelt District. Camp is from 9 AM-3 PM daily. We will have camp in Munday on June 30th and in Seymour on July 1. You will need to bring a sack lunch each day.  We have lots of cool things planned including:  BB guns, Archery, rock climbing tower, leather crafts, wood work, cooking cub scout style, water fun and birthday party games.  For more activities and specific location contact Mike Mitchell at (940) 696-2735 or Brandy Laughlin.

GB North Day Camp

Will be held in Vernon from 8 AM - 3 PM. Each day will have crafts, games, advancement and other activities. They will also have speakers each day and a swimming day. Please call Karon McLain (940)553-4797 for more information.  Specific dates in August and locations TBA.


General Day Camp Information

Each person needs to bring a SACK lunch with a drink each day, unless otherwise noted. Please label with name. All lunches will be refrigerated and space is limited, so please do not bring lunch boxes or coolers.

Each Scout will also need to bring a box of snacks and a water bottle or canteen to carry with them.

All camp attendees, including Adults, MUST wear closed toed shoes for walking. NO sandals are allowed! Brimmed hat recommended.

Please label everything with Youth’s full name.

Scouts will need Swimming trunks and towel on swimming day. (It is suggested to simply wear them as shorts)

Your scout will bring home a note the first day letting you know what day of camp he will be visiting the Trading Post. A list of items will be included so that you can decide with your scout how much money he should bring, and what he may or may not purchase.

All Tiger Cubs that attend Camp MUST have an Adult Partner present with them at all times. (1st grade as of June)

Registrations for Red River Day Camp at Camp Perkins are due to the Council office.
Greenbelt South fees are $35 regardless of registration date.  Greenbelt North registration fees and deadlines will be provided, as soon as I get it.

We need volunteers for Walking Den Leaders (adult chaperones) and Station/Program Leaders. If you can volunteer 1 day, 2 days, or even all week, please fill out an Adult Registration form and note which days you are available. Each Pack should provide at least 1 Adult for every 4 Scouts attending – each day of camp. Adults that volunteer the full week, and register before May 16th will receive their Camp T-shirt free.

T-shirts will be ordered based on the May 14th registrations. Registrations received after deadline MAY NOT receive a T-shirt.

The Registration form and a BSA Health & Medical form must be filled out completely and signed. All blanks must be completed. If requested information does not apply, please fill in with N/A (not applicable).

EVERY PERSON (Scout, Den Chief, Youth, and Adult Volunteers) MUST turn in both registration form and medical form.
